    Demographic Onchain Targeting

Basic targeting based on wallet characteristics like balance, chains used, and general activity levels

    Traditional Background

Traditional demographic targeting used age, gender, location, and income brackets to segment audiences. While broad, it provided a foundation for more sophisticated targeting strategies.

    Web3 Evolution

Web3 demographic targeting focuses on wallet-based characteristics: Does the user have a wallet? What chains do they use? Rough balance estimates? General activity levels? It's a step up from basic demographic targeting but remains quite basic compared to behavioral onchain targeting possibilities.

    Limitations

Provides only surface-level insights into user behavior and preferences. While better than traditional geographic/device targeting for web3 campaigns, it misses the rich behavioral data available on-chain that could improve CAC and ROI.

    Common Features

Typical features include wallet age, transaction frequency, estimated portfolio value, preferred chains, and general activity levels. Most basic web3 advertising platforms offer some version of these targeting options.
